Setting Up a Sensor Limit

If you want to receive an e-mail or SMS text notification when a sensor reading has exceeded a certain value, the first step is to ensure that your user profile is configured correctly.

From the dashboard, navigate to account manager and select users.

Select the user profile from the list.

From the allowed memberships panel at the bottom of the page, click the edit button.

On this screen, you will be able to configure the settings. In this example, we will set up this user to receive both device alerts and sensor alerts via e-mail to their primary e-mail address.

Now to set up a limit on a sensor channel. From the dashboard, click on the Sensor Config link for one of your stations.

In this example, the PM sensor is selected. Click the Edit button.

We will set a limit on the PM 10 15 minute channel by checking the box and inputting our value in the Alarm if Higher field. You can set up limits on each sensor channel if necessary.

Note that once complete, this value will appear as a red dotted line on the chart display for the sensor.
